Phlebectomy

For veins which are too large to be effectively treated with sclerotherapy, your physician may recommend phlebectomy. This procedure can also be done under a local anesthetic in the office. Using this technique, the veins are removed through a series of micro-incisions, which do not require sutures and cause minimal scarring.
