Sclerotherapy

If your veins are unsightly or uncomfortable, they can be treated by injection of a chemical solution that will cause them to disappear or become much smaller. This procedure is called sclerotherapy. It is often used to treat residual varicosities after Closure and may be covered by insurance. Both spider veins and larger veins can be treated with sclerotherapy.
